Methi/fenugreek is very cool in nature.It is good for diabetes. we can prepare a very delicious side dish for noodles,idly,dosa.Combination of this will be very tasty and good for health also.
Red chilly:1
Tamarind:a pinch
Salt:to taste
Jaggery(optional):to taste
Grated coconut:1 cup
Oil:1 tsp
For tempering:Oil,mustard seeds,curry leaves.

How to prepare methi/fenugreek sambar
- Take methi and red chilly in a pan.Add little oil.
- Fry them in a low flame till you get the smell of methi and methi should turn in to golden brown.
- Grind them with grated coconut ,tamarind to form smooth paste by adding sufficient water.
- Transfer in to a vessel, add water so that the consistency should be like that of sambar.
- Add salt and jaggery,boil it for 2-3 minutes.
- Put off the fire.Tempering done with heating oil,mustard seeds and curry leaves.
